Trees, Timing & Tree Health
Can you work around power lines?
If a tree is touching main power lines, call your utility company first — they clear those. We handle everything else, including clearance around service drops to your home.
Can you save my sick or dying tree?
Sometimes — call us for an honest assessment. If pruning or treatment can save it, we'll tell you; if it can't be saved, we'll tell you that too.
When is the best time to prune trees?
Late fall through winter dormancy is ideal for most species. Dead, damaged, or dangerous limbs should come off any time of year.
Do you work in winter?
Yes, year-round. Winter is actually great for pruning and removals — dormant trees and firm ground mean cleaner work.
How long does a tree removal take?
Most residential removals are done in a day. Large or technical trees can take longer — your free estimate includes a timeline.
Scheduling & What to Expect
What areas do you serve?
We're based in West Jordan and serve the Salt Lake Valley daily — Sandy, Draper, Murray, Herriman, Midvale, South Jordan, Taylorsville, Riverton, Cottonwood Heights — plus Park City and Summit County on scheduled route days.
Will my lawn or driveway be damaged?
We work carefully to protect lawns and hardscaping, and we clean up thoroughly. Heavy equipment can leave impressions on soft ground — we'll walk the plan with you before we start.
Do I need to be home during the work?
Not for exterior work, as long as we have access. If we need a gate opened or pets secured, we'll confirm when you book.
What happens to the wood from my tree?
We haul it away as part of the job. Larger logs can be cut into firewood — just ask.
How soon can you come out?
Call or text 801-330-1444. Storm and emergency work jumps the line; routine jobs are usually scheduled within days.
Firewood, Materials & More
Can I get firewood delivered along with my tree service?
Yes — many customers bundle firewood delivery with their tree job. We sell seasoned firewood at $149 for a quarter cord, $199 for a half cord, and $349 for a full cord, delivered. Just mention it when you call or text 801-330-1444.
Do you deliver materials to my town?
We deliver across the Salt Lake Valley, Park City and Summit County, Utah County, Davis County, and Wasatch County. Salt Lake Valley delivery is included in our per-load prices; Park City and Heber add $75 per trip and Utah County and Davis County add $40 per trip. Call or text 801-330-1444 to check your address.
How should I prepare my yard before you arrive?
Move cars, patio furniture, and anything breakable away from the work zone, unlock gates, and point out sprinkler heads or buried lines when we arrive. That's it — we bring everything else. Call or text 801-330-1444 if you're unsure about anything.
Can you cut my removed tree into firewood for me?
Just ask — many customers have us leave the trunk cut into firewood lengths instead of hauling it away. Mention it during your free estimate so we plan the cuts. Call or text 801-330-1444.
Do you plant new trees?
Our focus is removal, trimming, stump grinding, and clearing — we don't operate a planting service. But after a removal and stump grinding, your spot will be ready for whatever you want to plant. Call or text 801-330-1444 for a free estimate.
What's the difference between trimming and pruning?
They're mostly the same thing — trimming usually means shaping and tidying for looks and clearance, while pruning leans toward health-focused cuts like removing dead or diseased wood. We do both on every visit as the tree needs it. Call or text 801-330-1444 for a free estimate.
Do you remove bushes and overgrown shrubs?
Yes — we clear overgrown bushes, hedges, and shrubs along with tree work, and we can take them out entirely including the root ball on request. One visit can handle the trees and the bushes together. Call or text 801-330-1444.
Can you help if my HOA sent a violation notice about my trees?
Yes — dead or hazardous trees are the most common HOA complaints we fix. We can provide a written estimate and job description for your HOA board if they need it. Call or text 801-330-1444 and tell us what the notice says.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes — we handle trees for rentals, offices, churches, and small commercial lots in addition to homes. Call or text 801-330-1444 for a free commercial estimate.
What happens if it rains or snows on my scheduled day?
Light rain usually doesn't stop us, but heavy snow, ice, or high wind can make tree work unsafe — in that case we call you and reschedule promptly, with storm damage getting first priority. Call or text 801-330-1444 with any weather concerns.
Is there a minimum job size?
No — we'll come out for a single stump grind, one hedge trim, or one small tree. Small jobs just get scheduled alongside our larger ones. Call or text 801-330-1444 for a free estimate.
Can you give me an estimate from photos?
Photos help a lot — text pictures of your tree to 801-330-1444 and we can often give you a ballpark range. For an exact price we still like to see it in person, and that visit is always free.
Do you cable or brace weak trees?
We focus on removal, trimming, grinding, and clearing rather than cabling systems. During a free estimate we'll tell you honestly whether a weak tree is a candidate for bracing by a specialist or whether removal is the safer call. Call or text 801-330-1444.
How far in advance should I book non-emergency work?
A week or two is typical for routine trimming and removals, though we often fit smaller jobs in sooner. Storm season fills up fast, so booking early helps. Call or text 801-330-1444 and we'll find you the earliest slot.
Do you guarantee your work?
We guarantee we'll do what we quoted: the agreed work, a full cleanup, and no surprise charges — if something isn't right when we finish, tell us before we leave. Estimates are always free. Call or text 801-330-1444.
